Lower Sixth Pupils Enjoy An Array Of Work Experience Activities

All of our Lower Sixth pupils spent last week improving their employability skills and gaining experience of the workplace. These challenging times meant that this was done in a combination of “real life” experiences, online virtual experience, a STEAM workshop here at Kingswood, and a series of workshops and speakers sharing their expertise.

28th June 2021 — Feedback from both employers and students has been incredibly positive. Experiences ranged from tasting restaurant food for an article for Bath Life, to a series of coffee and lunch meetings in the City of London, to testing paper airplanes in the STEAM workshop and volunteering in London designing a sensory garden.

Huge initiative and resilience was shown by this year group. Many thanks go to Mrs Pasco who coordinates the whole Work Experience programme and to parents, friends, and family for helping students to secure placements. We also welcomed back alumni Theo and Daisy (pictured) and it was great to hear their experiences of university life a few years down the line from leaving Kingswood.

Kingswood School (Coed 1-18) is a day and boarding school in Somerset.
